Lorenz v. McDonald | Civil Protection Order Case | Ocober 2023
Issuance of a civil protection order against petitioner’s former boyfriend for continuing unwanted contact after termination of relationship was error where respondent never physically assaulted petitioner or threatened her with physical harm, petitioner did not claim that she suffered mental distress or feared for her safety, R.C. 2903.211, and petitioner’s desire to terminate all contact with former boyfriend was not sufficient grounds for a protection order, R.C. 3113.31.
